Who we are

The Brief

When you sign up to The Brief we use your email address, and your first name if you give it, only to send the letter. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you confirm your address.

Every letter has a one-click unsubscribe. The letter is sent through [EMAIL PROVIDER], which processes your address on our behalf.

Checklists

When you ask for one of our checklists we use your email address to open it for you and to send you The Brief, on the same terms as above. Asking for a checklist is not an enquiry about advice.

To remember which checklists this device has asked for we set one cookie, checklists, which is strictly necessary for that and so needs no consent. It holds no personal details, only the names of the checklists, and lasts a year.

Messages to Luke and Anick

When you write to us we use what you send only to reply. If you ask for advice on your own situation, we pass your message to Videre Private so it can reply.

We keep messages for [PERIOD] unless you become a client, when the client terms set out how long records are kept.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time by writing to us. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
